Mouthwashes
Mouthwash is one of those oral care products that a lot of people know why it’s used but not exactly how to use it correctly. I bet a lot of you reading this will brush your teeth then use mouthwash immediately afterwards… If so, then you have been using it the wrong way. Mouthwash is supposed to be used prior to brushing your teeth to help remove any food debris and plaque build-up. If you use mouthwash straight after brushing your teeth, all of those key ingredients that help your teeth such as fluoride (which helps to strengthen teeth) will be washed off without even giving it a chance to effectively work.
Check out our selected mouthwashes below and also ones that target specific oral care issues such as gum disease.

Gum disease/ Gum inflammation targeted mouthwashes
These types of mouthwashes will either get recommended to you by your Dentist or you may be just trying to find something yourself to help you out if you have gum problems. They aren’t recommended for long term use due to certain ingredients in some of them causing heavy staining on the tooth surfaces.
Normally it’s good to use as a short-term course then have a break. Consult your Dentist on how often you should use it for and if your problems persist, they can do further investigations.
