Denture Care

We wanted to recommend a few products that are great for helping to clean your denture and also some oral care products people use to help their dentures adhere properly when in the mouth to give you the confidence to wear your smile in public.

Now a properly fitting denture whether it be just the one or an upper and lower set has a lot of benefits including eating easier, improving speech and your self-confidence. Which is why we here at Oral Care Compare would always advise you see your Dentist about the different types of dentures available to you and also if you feel they are no longer fitting comfortably.

An ill-fitting denture is prone to breakages so before you consider these adhesives please treat them as a temporary fix while your new smile is being made.

Many people who wear dentures have confessed to leaving them in overnight for personal reasons or just because they simply didn’t realise, that it is actually recommended to remove your denture every night to let your soft tissues breathe, to prevent any fungal issues like oral thrush from developing.

It is also recommended that you remove your dentures and brush them daily as often as you would normal teeth. (Twice per day at least)

Some people tend to use far too much as they feel the more product covering the pallet area of a denture then the more secure it will be but this isn’t the case. Phil will also talk you through some of the different types of dentures such as acrylic, flexi, implant mounted and cobalt chrome that can be available to you depending on your need, budget and treatment result.
