At our sampling lab, we are constantly reviewing and comparing the top-rated toothpastes whilst keeping our website updated with new oral care products, especially toothpastes that are constantly being formulated each day.
Each of the following top-rated toothpastes have been individually scored out of 5 based on their formulation, taste, profile and overall result ( in no particular order)…
Spotlight total care
Developed by Dentists. It combats the most common problems in dental health such as protecting the teeth from cavities and tackling sensitive teeth. Despite this toothpaste falling into a slightly higher pricing category, the overall care it gives and the great formulation behind it means it deserves to be in a top-rated spot. It has a lovely fresh mint flavour that is not too overpowering.

Ordo complete care
Recommended by Dentists. This toothpaste has been formulated to strengthen enamel whilst also gently restoring the natural whiteness of your teeth. It is SLS free, meaning it doesn’t foam as much as the average toothpaste. It has a fresh minty flavour and provides overall protection / repair. They focus heavily on recycling and use sustainable packaging for their products. Ordo is a newer brand but are proving they are an oral care provider to watch out for.
Price point of around £4 for an 80 ml tube.

Luvbiotics
This particular toothpaste in terms of its formulation is very unique. It uses probiotics to help with oral flora. Its proven to improve oral hygiene by balancing the oral flora and promotes the growth of good bacteria whilst reducing bad bacteria. We loved the clean feel we felt after using this and would certainly recommend as a daily toothpaste.

Colgate total original
A reputable, affordable toothpaste that has a fresh minty taste and provides a good all-round protection to the teeth and gums. It is good to bear in mind that it does contain artificial ingredients/preservatives. This is more of a price conscious toothpaste for consumers but is reliable and does what it says at a low price point.

Oral B pro expert
An affordable, easily accessible toothpaste that provides an all-round clean to prevent cavities, plaque build-up and gum issues whilst protecting against sensitivity. It is slightly higher than normal in terms of abrasiveness which is good to know if you suffer from issues like enamel erosion. It contains some artificial sweeteners and has a very acquired taste. You may love or hate this flavour profile. It’s down to the individual user with this one.

The Green People 100 % natural
An organic toothpaste that provides an all-round clean suitable for the whole family. It’s ideal for sensitive teeth and can help those with bleeding gums. The traditional peppermint flavour profile is lovely. You can feel the effectiveness of the ingredients after each use. SLS free with 87% certified organic ingredients!

Zendium Complete protection
Contains natural antibacterial enzymes/proteins that help boost the mouths natural defences. We loved sampling this toothpaste and noticed that not only was it suitable for everyday use, its particularly suitable for vulnerable mouths such as pregnancy, dry mouth, mouth ulcers, delicate gums.
